Mindful Mandalas
Workshop as part of Salaam Festival
In 2016, Zahirah Hafiz, a Manchester-based artist, discovered the transformative power of art therapy as a means to navigate her own battles with anxiety.
Drawing inspiration from the rich heritage of Islamic art, Zahirah infuses her creations with a modern twist, breathing new life into traditional motifs and patterns. Her work not only pays homage to the timeless beauty of Islamic art but also serves as a poignant reminder of its enduring relevance in today’s rapidly evolving world.
Zahirah aspires to use her art to cultivate a safe space for individuals to explore mental health and emotional vulnerability, fostering a sense of community and sparking important conversations.
Committed to giving back, she donates 10% of her earnings to Young Minds UK, championing mental health support for young people across the UK.
This workshop is part of Salaam Festival, a week-long celebration that reflects the diversity of Islamic art and culture.
