Future Treescapes

Designing new tree-filled areas for our city

What do we (humans) think about the future of trees in our city (Manchester)?

To find out more, join this free interactive workshop about designing new tree-filled areas (treescapes), led by the Voices of the Future research team from Manchester Metropolitan University.

In this workshop, children and families will become landscape architects and design new tree filled areas (treescapes) for their city.

Children and families will draw and design new tree-filled places. They will explore about different kinds of trees and different kinds of activities that one can do with trees. Children and families will also discuss their wishes/hopes for the future of trees and what one should do to protect trees in the future.

The workshop will involve group work. Resources and material will be provided by the organising team on the day.

Suitable for families with children aged 7 and above. Children must be accompanied by a parent/carer at all times.
