Make your own amulet
Clay crafts with Carie Barker
To mark the final fortnight of our popular exhibition, Golden Mummies of Egypt, we’re inviting you to make your own amulet inspired by Ancient Egypt.
Join Carie Barker, author of Our Curious Panda children’s magazine available in the Museum Shop, to enjoy clay craft and find out more about the magazine.
If you look carefully you will spot many different Ancient Egyptian amulets on display in the Museum’s Egypt and Sudan Gallery and in Golden Mummies. You can draw inspiration from what you find before creating your own in this free family workshop suitable for children aged seven or over, along with their parents/carers.
The Easter school holidays will be your last chance to see Golden Mummies before it closes on Sunday 14 April – pre-book your tickets so you don’t miss out while you’re visiting the Museum. For the clay workshops, however, you can just drop in.
