Musical storytelling

with Olympias Music Foundation

Hear famous stories brought to life by storyteller John Williams and musician Jamie Stockbridge, as part of our Wild About Birds celebration week

Join Olympias Music Foundation in the Top Floor Classroom for magical readings of two bird-themed stories, accompanied by live music, on Tuesday 18 February and Thursday 20 February.

Spaces are limited for these sessions. Please sign up at the Welcome Desk on the day of the event.

10.30-11.30am: Mole and the Baby Bird, written by Patrick Benson

John and Jamie will perform Mole and the Baby Bird, a touching story about what it means to care for something smaller than you and let the ones you love fly free, aimed at younger children aged 4-7 years.

12.30-1.30pm: The Firebird, retold by Mairi McKinnon

Children aged 7-11 are invited to join us for a special retelling of the classic Ukrainian folk story, The Firebird, complete with kings, an evil sorceress and the quest for a magical firebird whose feathers can melt hearts made of stone.
