Lunana: A Yak in the Classroom
Part of our Wild Films series
Take a trip to the most remote school in the world during this special screening of Lunana: A Yak In The Classroom.
Our Wild Films series looks to build on the themes in our Wild exhibition, opening up debate and challenging the way we think about nature, while whisking you away to wild places across the world.
For the first edition, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy this Oscar-nominated, feel-good film which follows the journey of a young trainee teacher named Ugyen (played by Sherab Dorji).
We join him on a life-changing journey to the remote mountain village of Lunana. With breath-taking views of the Bhutanese mountains, the film explores the importance of human connection and tradition in an otherwise hectic and technology-filled world.
