Wild Walks with Manchester Museum

Ardwick Climate Action Green Route

Explore Manchester’s hidden wild areas with these walks as part of  the Wild exhibition at Manchester Museum.

Each walk will include a chance to get up close to nature, meet new people and explore themes of wildness in our city. Uncover the nature, wildlife and wild place on our doorstep.

Ardwick Climate Action have developed a Green Route walk showcasing the routes and green spaces that they have established and signed around the Brunswick Area which is only a short walk from Manchester Museum. This Wild Walk has been designed to prove that Green walks are possible in our inner urban areas.

Join Gordon Flear from Ardwick Climate Action and the Wild Exhibition team, to explore local Wild areas.

Be inspired by local action to create a healthier place for people and planet.

Book your free place to attend.

You can help us care for our collections and bring joy and inspiration to people in Manchester and beyond

As one of the UK’s largest university museums, we care for over 4.5 million objects, with an internationally-important collection spanning from Archaeology to Zoology, and nearly everything in between. We work with communities, support university students and schools in Manchester and beyond and we are a free, inclusive museum for all. But we need your help. Every object we care for, exhibition, school visit and community event comes at a cost, and you can help make the museum as ambitious and impactful as possible.
